Earlier today I heard from the director of Bachtrack who asked if I would be interested in reviewing kids’ CDs for them.
It is not going to be more than several CDs a year, there will be no pressing deadlines ( I get several weeks to complete my review), and we (and by us I mean Troy and myself) do get to keep the CD!
If you’ve been reading this blog, you know that my three favorite things in the world are: kids, music and education. So I said “yes”!
In a way, these reviews will hopefully help children around the world (whom I consider the most sensitive and appreciative listeners of all) discover music. And what can be more a more noble and rewarding contribution for a children/music/education fan like yours truly?
First there was Music. And me. Then came my little boy, and we embarked on a wonderful journey together. Join us as we listen, explore and learn more about the miracle of classical music.

Happy Birthday, Verdi!
There is an argument about Verdi's the exact birth date.
Some sources say October 9th, others - October 10th.
However, somehow to me it has always been October 9th maybe because that's what it was in the first book I read about Verdi many years ago. Thus, on this happy note, happy birthday Verdi and a very happy Verdi's birthday to those of us touched by the magic of his music.

Troy Goes to Listen to Mozart
Well, my friends, I was the busiest busy this week and only now got a minute to write about something wonderful that happened last Sunday.
Without further delay, last Sunday afternoon Bachtrack sent me to the glorious “Gutierrez Plays Mozart” program at the Meyerhoff. This time, however, it was particularly exciting because Troy and my mom were able to join me.
The concert was great and Troy loved it, especially Mozart’s Concerto No. 19. We had great seats ( Row S), Troy was at his best behavior and is still talking about “the concert” and Mozart.
You can find my first EVER!!! concert review at http://www.bachtrack.com/ in the Concert Reviews Section.
Happy Friday, everyone, and for those of you who are fasting – easy fasting!
